Language Acquisition: Ages and Stages
January 26, 2015

Hi everyone! My name is Brianna. I am the music therapist at Innovative Speech & Language Pathology! I am the lucky one who gets to sing songs and do activities with kids of all ages, and adults too. And can I just tell you that I love my job? I get to sing, dance, play, and be creative all in a day!

I really love to sing. I started singing when I was very young. In fact, I can remember singing the “Ahhh, ahhhh, ahhh” song from The Little Mermaid!! Singing has always been a big part of my life, and I love it even more now that I get to sing for work and share music with others.

I play the piano, the guitar, and other various percussion instruments for fun. I love music because it is so versatile and most everyone can connect to music in some way. Whether through dancing and movement, listening and relaxing, or making silly games to work on a goal, music can touch everyone’s life. It can be perfect for that sunny day on the beach, give you a laugh when you are down, motivate you, comfort you in a tender moment, and it is adaptable! This makes it wonderful to use as a therapy to accomplish various goals!
